Keenan Ervin returns to his alma mater, assuming the role of an assistant athletic trainer for the A&M-Commerce Sports Medicine department. Ervin's main sport responsibilities will be with men's basketball while serving as an assistant for football.

Ervin spent two seasons as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant, Okla., working mainly with the football, men's basketball and baseball teams. Ervin got his start in the field of athletic training at A&M-Commerce, serving as a student athletic trainer from 2007 to 2010 where he worked primarily with the Lions' football, men's basketball and track and field teams.

Ervin graduated from A&M-Commerce with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in health in May 2010. He then achieved his master's degree in sports studies and athletic administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State in May 2012.
