Josh Wiemels is in his first season as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at A&M-Commerce, assisting with the Lions' football team as well as overseeing both the cheer and dance squads.

Weimels comes to A&M-Commerce after spending last season as an athletic training intern for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. Prior to that, Weimels worked in the athletic training program at Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio, assisting primarily with the track and field program.

Wiemels earned his bachelors degree in athletic training from Wilmington College in 2012 and is currently pursuing his master's degree in kinesiology at A&M-Commerce. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and the Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association.
