At the Commerce City Library, football players were involved in the moving of file cabinets in the basement of the building. Football players were also involved in helping with the Community Garden behind the local United Methodist Church. The goals of the day include an improved community environment, improved cooperation between the City and University, the promotion of volunteerism and social responsibility, recognition of Commerce as progressive and cohesive. At the same time, more members of the A&M-Commerce football team, student athletic trainers, the volleyball and women's basketball team were involved with Special Olympics at Memorial Stadium.
