The 2013-14 A&M-Commerce athletic season was filled with a handful of incredible moments, achievements and career milestones. Throughout the summer Lion Athletics will take a look back at the top 15 moments of the year, voted on by athletic administrators and local media members.Â
With a new era of Lion Athletics beginning its first season there was no better way to usher in a fresh season than with a fresh look and feel for all things about A&M-Commerce Athletics.

The department got just that when it unveiled its new logo in a grand, oversized fashion at midfield of Memorial Stadium during last summer's installation of new field turf. The field surface featured the new, more modern and noble lion head that stretched 50 yards across the center of the playing surface.

Since that unveiling, one that created national buzz, Lion Athletics has continued to implement its new branding efforts across campus, the community and online. The effort not only included the fresh logo, but also a new font unique to Lion Athletics that is now the primary font used by the department.

Both the logo and font were prominently featured on the revamped LionAthletics.com, which was launched in October. To create the site, Lion Athletics partnered with Sidearm Sports to gain a new look for the site and offer fresh features for fans.

Lion Athletics also created another buzz when it adopting the hashtag #WeAreLions. The slogan began as a way to bring all Lion fans together under one credo on social media, but now can be found frequenting the campus and community on publications, billboards and other signage.Â
