Updated: Lions Tabbed No. 7 seed Will Travel to No. 2 seed/No. 2 ranked Ferris State

Commerce, Texas – The A&M-Commerce football will make its first appearance in the NCAA Playoffs since the 1995 season after learning its fate as the No. 7 seed in Super Region 4 with a looming match up against No. 2 seeded and No. 2 ranked Ferris State in the first round Saturday, November 21 at 11 a.m. central time.
 
A total of 28 teams from the four super regions received NCAA Playoff berths.  As the No. 7 seed, the Lions will travel to face the No 2 seed and the No. 1 ranked team in the AFCA Coaches Poll this coming Saturday, Nov. 21, Ferris State (Mich.) at Top Taggart Field. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. (ET)/11 a.m. (CT).

The NCAA Playoffs
How do the playoffs work?
The NCAA Division II Football Committee announced the field of 28 teams for the 2015 NCAA Division II Football Championship with seven teams filling out each of the Super Region brackets. 12 first-round games will be conducted on the campus of one of the competing institutions. In addition, one team per super regional has earned a first-round bye.
 
The first-round winners will all advance to the second round with games on the campus of the higher seeded competing institutions. Second-round winners will meet in the quarterfinals at various campus sites. Quarterfinal winners will advance to play in the semifinals on the campus of the higher seeded competing institutions.
 
The championship game will be played December 19, at 4 p.m. (ET) at Sporting Park in Kansas City and will be broadcast live on ESPN2 HD/ESPN3.com.
 
Who else is in our region?
The No. 1 seed in the region is Lone Star foe Midwestern State, which received the region's first-round bye. The other two first-round matchups include No. 3 seed Ashland hosting No. 6 seeded Grand Valley State, along with No. 4 seeded Colorado State-Pueblo playing host to No. 5 seeded Indianapolis.

Ferris State's berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs will represent the seventh appearance in school history with the other five berths prior to the last two years all coming during a memorable five-year stretch from 1992-96.
 
Overall, the Bulldogs hold an all-time NCAA Playoff mark of 5-6 to date and posted the highest finish in school history by reaching the national semifinals in 1995.
 
Ferris State, which is consensus top-five team in every national poll, capped off the school's second consecutive unbeaten regular-season with a 38-7 triumph over Walsh on Saturday in Big Rapids. FSU will enter the playoffs with a perfect 10-0 record and the Bulldogs claimed the school's second-straight GLIAC Championship this season.
 
The Bulldogs are led by the 2014 Harlon Hill winner and 2015 Harlon Hill candidate Jason Vander Laan at quarterback.

Broadcast Information
I cannot make the game, will it be on TV?
Ferris State will be providing a free live stream for Saturday's game. Those in Dallas can to go Lakewood's 1st and 10 at 6465 East Mockingbird Lane for a Watch Party. Fans in Commerce can go to the Watch Party in the RSC the Club begining at 11 a.m.
