Commerce, Texas – Texas A&M University-Commerce President Dr. Dan R. Jones will announce the new Director of Athletics at a press conference in the Rayburn Student Center Thursday, October 1 at 3 p.m.
 
The announcement will be open to the public and members of the media and will be streamed live via the Lion Athletics YouTube page.  The stream can be found on the Lion Athletics website, www.LionAthletics.com, and on all Lion Athletics social media outlets.
 
After an extensive national search, four finalists were interviewed on campus for the top athletics position.  The position was left vacant in August with the departure of Ryan Ivey.
