East Texas A&M University Athletics

 

In October 2014, Texas A&M University-Commerce completed construction of the Lion Golf Indoor Development Facility. The 2,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility was championed by Ryan Ivey, A&M-Commerce Director of Athletics, and Dr. Louie Bledsoe, the venerated head coach of the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams of A&M-Commerce.
 
The new facility was forged from a former locker room and weight facility in the A&M-Commerce Field House. It now includes four driving cages and a six-hole putting practice course in which the Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams can receive instruction and practice the fundamentals of their sport, even in inclement weather.
 
The Lion Golf Indoor Development Facility is one of a very few facilities of its kind in all of NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
