2009 (Cross Country): 56th at the LSC Championships...28th at the West Texas Buffalo Stampede...110th in the Brooks Memphis Twilight.

Prior to A&M-Commerce: Qualified for the state track meet his senior year in the 3,200-meter run while at Lingleville High School, in addition to qualifying for the state meet in cross country...also qualified for regionals in the 1,600-meter run...lettered all four years in both cross country and track at Lingleville...also competed in tennis and basketball...valedictorian of his high school graduating class.

Personal: Born October 19, 1990...son of Salvador and Enedelia Tamayo...a psychology major.
