COMMERCE, Texas – A&M-Commerce senior linebacker Danny Mason has been invited to play in the 2013 Texas vs. The Nation game on Saturday, February 2nd at Eagle Stadium in Allen, Texas. Mason will be playing on the Texas roster as the game pits players either from the state of Texas or who played for a Lone Star state school against those from the rest of the nation.

COMMERCE, Texas -- Trailing by a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, A&M-Commerce rallied to tie the game with eight seconds remaining, then held off A&M-Kingsville in overtime to notch an emotional 21-14 victory on a rainy night at Memorial Stadium. The Lions halt a four-game skid, improving to 1-3 on the year and 1-1 in Lone Star Conference play, and capture the Chennault Cup for the first time since 2001.

BRYN ROY MAKES ROSTER SPOT WITH CFL'S MONTREAL ALOUETTES
A&M-Commerce will add to its lengthy resume of football players that went on to play at the professional level as linebacker Bryn Roy has earned a roster spot with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. Roy was the 34th player taken in the 2012 CFL Draft in May, selected in the fifth round by Montreal, and earned a spot on the Alouette’s 42-man official roster.

A&M-Commerce will once again be taking part in the 2012 Lone Star Football Festival, facing Midwestern State on Friday, September 14 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The league office announced the schedule for the two-day event, which will feature all nine Lone Star Conference football schools in a two-day, six-game event in 2012.
