LIONS ANNOUNCE A PAIR OF GOLF ADDITIONS FOR 2012
COMMERCE, Texas –- Texas A&M University-Commerce head golf coach Louie Bledsoe today announced two additions to the Lion golf program. Brent Reagan joins the men's team and will start competing this spring for A&M-Commerce while Ali Leasor has committed to playing for the Lion women beginning in the fall of 2012.
"We're excited to welcome Brent and Ali to the Lion golf program," said Bledsoe. "Both of them have had great high school careers and will be great additions both on the course and in the classroom. We're looking forward to great things from both of them.
Reagan is a native of nearby Heath where he was a four-year letterwinner at Rockwall-Heath High School. He was a first team all-region selection in 2010 after finishing sixth at the regional meet. A two-year all-district selection and team captain, Reagan was also a two-time team MVP after posting the lowest tournament and playoff average.
Leasor attends Mansfield High School and is the younger sister of Chris Leasor of the Lion men's golf team. She is a two-time district runner-up qualifying for the regional tournament as a freshman and sophomore. Leasor helped lead Mansfield to the 2011 district championship and was a second team all-district selection.
After taking a winter hiatus, both the men and women's golf team are about to get the spring portion of their 2011-12 schedules underway. The Lion women hit the links first, traveling to San Diego, Calif., for the Super San Diego Championships at the Riverwalk Golf Club February 6 and 7. The men return to action February 27 and 28, hosting its annual Crawford/Wade Invitational at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro.
