MEN’S AND WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY TRAVEL TO NCAA REGIONALS

RECAPPING LONE STAR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
MEN
The men finished fourth at the conference championships just ahead of Angelo State for fifth. The Lions were led by Dorian McCradic, Lone Star Conference Freshmen of the Year, who finished sixth overall and earned an All-Conference selection. Luis Romero also earned All-Conference honors also with his 15th place finish. Everett Wilder, Alex Kimp and Fredrick Kipsang are all coming off top 35 finishes. In order for their seasons to continue they need to qualify for Nationals. The top six overall finishers qualify for Nationals in Joplin, Missouri.
WOMEN
Led by Caroline Cotsakis the women finished seventh at the Lone Star Conference Championships. Mary Hammons, Jennifer Speer and Katia Romero all finished in the Top 50. Julieta Esquivel just missed the Top 50 with her 51st place finish. In order to qualify for Nationals the girls would need to finish in the Top 5 overall in Denver in order to reach Joplin in two weeks.
