The Lions had a tough time trying to figure out how to defeat the Reddies of Henderson State. The Reddies proved to be a tough challenge dropping 36 points on the Lions in the first period of the game, and keeping A&M-Commerce to a lonely 22 points. The Lion's would come out strong, but the Reddies just broke away late in the second period for a 71-48 win.

A&M-Commerce out rebounded the Reddies 42 to 40, but just could not score on the Reddie defense. The Lions statistically were even with the Reddies, but struggled with their shooting only hitting 28.8%. The Reddies on the other hand hit an impressive 50% keeping the pressure on the Lions all night. A&M-Commerce struggled even more with three point shooting only hitting 1 of 13.

Sophomore Guard Danielle Dixon kept the Lion's offense in the game with a solid 13 points and 4 rebounds. This is the second game in a row Dixon has been the highest scoring player for A&M-Commerce. Sophomore Forward Breanna Harris had another solid night for the Lions snagging 6 total rebounds for the Lions and chipping in with 5 points.

The A&M-Commerce bench contributed a total of 19 points, and 13 total rebounds on the evening. The primary bench player was freshman guard Ashlee Johnson who hit 7 free throws scoring a total of 11 points for the Lions.

The Lions will continue their home stand in another non-conference battle against Ouachita Baptist on November 21st at 6:00 PM. Ouachita is coming off a loss to Texas Woman's University 75-65, and will only be two games deep into their season when they play the Lions.
