Opening Tip
The Lions will be facing their biggest hurdle of the season in Tarleton State who is currently undefeated in conference play (8-0). A&M-Commerce will first host the LSC leading Tarleton State TexAnns at the Field House, and then make the journey to Stephenville to meet the TexAnns at Wisdom Gymnasium in back-to-back games. The Lions will be looking to break the TexAnns nine game winning streak.

Series Information:
Tarleton is currently leading the series over the Lions (23-18), and is currently on a two game winning streak over the Lions. The last time the Lions met the TexAnns was on January, 3rd last season where the TexAnns handed the Lions a 77-64 loss. The TexAnns lost two of their five starters but have a strong supporting cast of young talent.
Harris Proving to be a Force for the Lions
Sophomore Breanna Harris has been a key contributor throughout the season for A&M-Commerce, ranking second on the team in points per game (10.3) while leading the Lions in rebounds per game (9.8). Harris earned her first Double-double against Central Ohio State (Nov. 26) when she scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and never looked back. She notched double-doubles against Incarnate Word (Dec. 7) and at Texas Woman's (Dec. 13), against Newman State (Dec. 29), Eastern New Mexico (Jan. 7), and most recently when the Lion's hosted Angelo State (Jan. 14), including opening up her A&M-Commerce career with 17 points at Southeastern Oklahoma, a career-best.
Dixon Launches the Lion Offensive Attack
Sophomore Danielle Dixon has been the focal point of the A&M-Commerce offense in 2011, averaging 13.3 points per game to lead the Lions. She has recorded double figures in ten of the Lions' first 11 games, including a season-high 23 points against Newman on December 29. Dixon ranks eleventh in the conference in points per game, averaging 13.3 while ranking among the conference leaders in a handful of other categories.
Looking Ahead
The Lions will be making their second rounds of conference play starting in Wichita Falls on January 25th at 6:00 PM. A&M-Commerce will get an opportunity to redeem themselves against Midwestern State who is currently on a 7 game winning streak. The Mustangs visited the Field House earlier this season, and routed the Lions 81-44. Cameron will not make it any easier for the Lions since they are also riding a hot 10 game winning streak, which is currently the longest winning streak in the LSC. The Lions will host the Aggies in their second game this season on January 28th at 6:00 PM. The last time these two teams met at the Aggie Gym, and the Aggies walked away with the victory 68-52.
