COMMERCE, Texas – With the 2012-13 A&M-Commerce men's and women's basketball seasons getting set to tip off in the coming weeks, don't miss your chance to get a sneak peak and interact with this year's squads at Lion Hoop Night on Tuesday, November 6 at 7 p.m.

The entire 2012-13 men's and women's basketball teams will be introduced to tip off the night with head coaches Nicole Anderson and Sam Walker addressing the crowd at the beginning of the evening. The Lion basketball players will then compete in a handful of events, including a three-point shooting contest and a hot shot competition, capped by a slam dunk competition to finish off the night.

The A&M-Commerce cheer and dance teams will perform and there will be a number of fan activities with the Lion basketball players hand-picking the contestants out of the stands. So come dressed in your Lion gear and be prepared to cheer loudly if you want a chance to take part in the night's festivities!

The event is FREE to all Lion basketball fans and gets underway promptly at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Field House. It will be your first chance to see the 2012-13 men's and women's basketball teams before they take the court for real to get the season underway. The men's home opener is Tuesday, November 13 against Dallas Baptist, followed by the women's home opener the following night, tipping off against Southern Arkansas at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 14.
