Series Score: A&M-Commerce has struggled against West Texas A&M ever since the first meeting in the 1975-76 season. The Lions hold a record of 9-45 against the Lady Buffs all-time. The includes at 30 game losing streak to start off the series. Of those nine wins only two have come in Canyon. Charles Mancil and Denny Downing are the only two coaches to win in Canyon, Mancil in '00-01 (71-70) and Downing in '04-05 (78-69). The Lions have dropped their last six to WT by an average of 24.3 points including a 110-37 defeat last season in Canyon. The Lions have dropped their last two against the Zias. Before this recent skid the Lions had won five in a row and six of the last eight in the series. Eastern has not lost to A&M-C as a conference opponent since the 2004-05 season. That is because the LSC was in two divisions and crossover games were not counted towards your league record.

Griffin is currently four in the LSC in scoring and eighth in rebounding. Chontiquah White is also having a good season averaging just over 13 per game and is currently sixth in the LSC in scoring. West Texas is one of two teams that have two players in the top ten in the LSC in terms of ppg, Tarleton State is other.
