Opening Tip: The Lions have dropped three straight and will look to turn things around against Incarnate Word, who the beat back in January, 61-50. A&M-Commerce will then host A&M-Kingsville on Saturday and will look to sweep the Javelinas for the first time since 2004-05. The teams have only played twice in a season twice since then.

Break Out The Pink For the Lions on Saturday: A&M-Commerce's game against Texas A&M-Kingsville marks the Lions' 2013 Pink Zone game, helping to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the Saturday's game at the Field House as a handful of activities will be available to participate in. Fans can make pink breast cancer bracelets or enjoy some pink cotton candy, with the proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society. In addition, survivors will be recognized during halftime with prizes to be raffled off as well. Admission is free to anyone wearing pink to the game Saturday as well. Series Score: The Lions have struggled against the Cardinals over the course of the series. The sides have only met 11 times since the first meeting in 1998-99. The win earlier this season was the first win over the Cardinals since the 2006-07 season. A&M-Commerce is currently 3-8 all-time against the UIW. The Javelinas and Lions have played each other dating back to 1971-72. The two sides have almost split the game evenly with A&M-K holding a 29-28 lead in the series. The Lions are 2-4 against the Javelinas in their last six.

Incarnate Word has had a week off since their last game against Texas Woman's, a 58-40 victory at home. Ashlyn Green is currently 12th in the LSC in scoring with 11.6 clip. Whitehead is tied for 16th in scoring and fourth in field goal percentage. Green is 16th in rebounding with just over five per game. The Cardinals have held serve at home posting an 8-2 record while only being .500 on the road, posting a 4-4 record. Incarnate Word has never lost to the Lions on their home floor (2-0).

Texas A&M-Kingsville has won two of its last three since losing 13 in a row. A&M-Kingsville offensively is averaging just over 57 points per game which outs them eighth in the LSC one spot behind A&M-Commerce. The Javelinas are the only team worse than the Lions on scoring average on defense giving up 66.3 ppg compared to the Lions 66.0.
