Lions Finish 12th at Oklahoma Invitational


The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule with a 12th-place finish at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at The Territory Club in Duncan, Oklahoma. 

 

The entire Lions' lineup improved their scores from Monday's first round. Sophmore Malonie Oats (pictured) led the Lions as she finished tied for 55th with a 170 (88-82). 

 

St. Edward's won the team title with a two-day total of 614 (304-310) for a nine-stroke victory over Angelo State. The Hilltoppers were led by individual champion Kirby Baker who shot a 144 (73-71).

 

The remainder of the Lions lineup shared 59th-place honors and 36-hole total of 173 including Kathleen May, Megan Benites, Heather Pantalion and Mallory Kempf. Pantalion lowered her round by 15 strokes after Monday's opening round. As an individual, Noelle Garcia shot a 189 (93-96).
