WOMEN'S GOLF ADDS THREE SIGNEES FOR 2013-14 SEASON
COMMERCE, Texas – A&M-Commerce head golf coach Dr. Louie Bledsoe today announced three additions to the Lion women’s golf program. Emily Childress, Alaina Martinez and Katelyn McCreight have all signed National Letters of Intent and will join the A&M-Commerce golf program in the fall of 2013.

McCOY POSTS CAREER-BEST FINISH AT LSC CHAMPIONSHIPS
FORT WORTH, Texas – A&M-Commerce junior Chelsea McCoy posted a career-best seventh place finish, pacing the Lions at the 2013 Lone Star Conference Championships at the Golf Club at Champions Circle. A&M-Commerce matched McCoy’s performance, finishing seventh in the conference meet with an 82-over 658.

FORT WORTH, Texas – A&M-Commerce sits tied for fifth after the opening round of the 2013 Lone Star Conference Championships, posting a 41-over 329. The Lions enter Tuesday’s final round tied with Cameron while eyeing a move on the team standings.

SARA DIAZ NAMED LSC ACADEMIC WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE YEAR
FORT WORTH, Texas – A&M-Commerce junior Sara Diaz highlighted the Lone Star Conference postseason golf awards for the Lions, being tabbed the LSC’s Female Academic Player of the Year. She was one of four Lions to receive conference honors, announced at the LSC Championship golf banquet this evening.

FOUR LIONS FINISH AMONG TOP-20 AT DOC HOUSEWRIGHT INVITATIONAL
GRANBURY, Texas -- Four Lions finished among the individual top-20 as A&M-Commerce closed out the 2013 Doc Housewright Invitational with a fourth-place showing, notching a 49-over 625. The Lions shot a 23-over 311 in the final round, shaving three strokes off its opening round total.

LION GOLF PROGRAM TO HOLD ANNUAL FUNDRAISER FRIDAY, APRIL 19
COMMERCE, Texas -- The A&M-Commerce golf programs will once again hold its annual fundraiser at Webb Hill Country Club on Friday, April 19. The purpose of the event is to help raise the needed funds to allow the Lions to travel and compete in the top events against the top teams in Division II.

ARLINGTON, Texas – A&M-Commerce dropped two spots over the final round of the 2013 Dallas Baptist Southwest Classic, finishing sixth out of nine teams with a 46-over 622. The Lions posted a 26-over 314 in round two, finishing six strokes out of their third top-five finish of the season.

McCOY TIES CAREER-BEST THROUGH ROUND ONE AT SOUTHWEST CLASSIC
ARLINGTON, Texas – Junior Chelsea McCoy tied a career-best, shooting a 3-over 75 over the opening 18 holes of the Dallas Baptist Southwest Classic at Tierra Verde Golf Club. She helped pace the Lions to a 20-over 308 through the opening round, sitting in fourth-place among the nine-team field.

WICHITA FALLS – A&M-Commerce had a pair of players finish among the top-20 of the individual standings as the Lions place 10th out of 18 teams at the Midwestern State Mustang Invitational. A&M-Commerce posted a 42-over 330 over the final 18 holes, logging an 81-over 657 for the tournament.

RICHARDSON, Texas -- A&M-Commerce junior Sara Diaz has been named the Lone Star Conference Golfer of the Week, announced today by league officials. It marks the first weekly honor of Diaz's career and the first for a female Lion golfer this season.

POTTSBORO, Texas – Junior Sara Diaz concluded the top tournament of her collegiate career, matching her 7-over 79 in round one to post a 14-over 158, finishing fifth at the 2013 Texoma Chevy Dealers Lion Intercollegiate at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro. Diaz sparked A&M-Commerce who tied for fourth among the 21-team field with an 81-over 657.

LION WOMEN HEAD TO POTTSBORO FOR 2013 LION INTERCOLLEGIATE
COMMERCE, Texas – After a month-long hiatus, the A&M-Commerce women’s golf team returns to action, preparing to host its home tournament up at Tanglewood Resort. The 2013 Texoma Chevy Dealers Lion Intercollegiate will be held Monday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 12th, with one of the deepest fields in tournament history.

LAWTON, Okla. – A&M-Commerce closed out the fall portion of its 2012-13 season with a ninth-place showing at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, finishing with a 57-over 633. The Lions posted a 34-over 322 in the final round, notching the fourth top-10 finish of the season.

DALLAS – A&M-Commerce opened the final round of the Dallas Baptist Classic in a quest for a top-five finish, but a sluggish final round dropped the Lions to a tie for 11th overall with a 58-over 634.

GREEN'S CAREER ROUND LEADS LIONS TO THIRD-PLACE TIE AT DBU CLASSIC
DALLAS – A&M-Commerce had four golfers shoot in the 70s over the opening 18 holes of the 2012 Dallas Baptist Classic as the Lions settle into a tie for third-place after the opening round. A&M-Commerce posted a 15-over 303 and sit 10 strokes out of first place.

A&M-COMMERCE CLOSES OUT RCB BANK CLASSIC WITH 10TH-PLACE SHOWING
EDMOND, Okla. -- A&M-Commerce entered Tuesday's final round of the Central Oklahoma RCB Bank Classic seeking its second top-five finish of the season. But the Lions struggled over the final 18 holes, slipping to 10th out of the 17 team field, finishing the tournament with a 47-over 615.

EDMOND, Okla. -- Facing its deepest field of the season, A&M-Commerce remains in a favorable position after 18 holes of the Central Oklahoma RCB Bank Classic, sitting sixth out of 17 teams following a first round 18-over 302. The Lions find themselves in the midst of a number of teams fighting for a top-five finish heading into Tuesday’s final round.

A rain and lightning delay did little to slow down A&M-Commerce as four Lions shoot in the 70s, helping the Lions jump two spots and finish fifth at the Angelo State Concho River Classic. A&M-Commerce posts a season-low 16-over 304 over the final 18 holes, closing out the tournament with a 42-over 618.

A&M-Commerce struggled over the final 18 holes of the season-opening West Texas A&M Lady Buff Stampede, shooting a 43-over 331 and sliding back to 10th-place in the team standings. The Lions close out the 36-hole tournament with a 75-over 651, but manage to notch their first top-10 finish of the season.

McMAHAN TIED FOR FIRST AFTER OPENING ROUND OF LADY BUFF INVITATIONAL
A&M-Commerce got its 2012-13 season off to a solid start as behind top-five showings from both Chantry McMahan and Ali Leasor, the Lions currently sit tied for sixth out of 14 teams after 18 holes of the 2012 West Texas A&M Lady Buff Stampede. A&M-Commerce shot a 32-over 320 in round one and sits within striking distance of a top-five finish.
