EDMOND, Okla. – Facing its deepest field of the season, A&M-Commerce remains in a favorable position after 18 holes of the Central Oklahoma RCB Bank Classic, sitting sixth out of 17 teams following a first round 18-over 302. The Lions find themselves in the midst of a number of teams fighting for a top-five finish heading into Tuesday's final round.

A&M-Commerce sits two shots back of host Central Oklahoma (16-over 300) and remains well within striking distance of the clubhouse leaders, entering Tuesday's final round just six shots back of co-leaders Dallas Baptist (12-over 296). Newman currently is in third (13-over 297) with Southwestern Oklahoma State (14-over 298) in fourth just four strokes ahead of the Lions.

But as competitive as the field is ahead of A&M-Commerce, it is just as tight behind the Lions as Harding (19-over 303), Arkansas Tech (20-over 304) and Oklahoma Christian (22-over 306) are breathing down the Lions' neck. A three-way tie for 10th-place between Northeastern State, Angelo State and Cameron (24-over 308) have their sights set on A&M-Commerce as well, entering the final 18 holes just six shots back.

Individually, Haley Green posted the low round of the day for A&M-Commerce, shooting a career-low 3-over 74 in round one and currently is in a three-way tie for 15th-place overall. Green leads teammate Chelsea McCoy by one shot after McCoy fired a 4-over 75 and sits in sole possession of 19th-place in the individual standings.

Chantry McMahan and Ali Leasor also find themselves in the top-20 as the duo each posted a 5-over 76 and find themselves tied with 14 other golfers tied for 20th after the opening 18 holes. Sara Diaz opened the tournament with a 6-over 77, good enough for tie for 36th overall with Holly Jenkins one shot behind, posting a career-best round of 7-over 78 and is among 11 golfers tied at 44th in the individual standings.

Tuesday's final round gets underway with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. A&M-Commerce will be teamed up with Southwestern Oklahoma State and the host Bronchos in the final day pairings hoping to make a run at the tournament leaders.
