Texas A&M University-Commerce incoming freshman volleyball standouts Reagan Hayes (right) and Rachel Robertson (left) recently participated in the Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star volleyball match.

In the match, both saw extensive action as members of an East team that lost a 3-1 decision to their West counterparts.

Hayes and Robertson have had a busy summer as they prepare to begin their Lions' careers in the fall. Both also played in USA Volleyball Junior Olympic National Tournament in Miami, Florida as member of the Dallas Summit Volleyball Club. The two and future teammate Morgan Moeller posted a 4-5 record and an overall finish of 35th place in the 18-year old Girls American Division.

At that same tournament, incoming freshman teammate Ashleigh Barnett (center in the green), a member of the Texas Advantage 18 Molten team, earned a bronze medal with a third place overall finish. Texas Advantage 18 Molten posted a 5-5 record in the 18-year old Girls National Division.
