Lauren Flynn Named Lone Star Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week

For the second time in 2009 and the ninth time in her career, Texas A&M University-Commerce senior volleyball player Lauren Flynn was named the Lone Star Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

The libero from Deer Park, Texas is one of the key reasons that the Lions have won eight-straight matches. Last week, Flynn averaged 7.08 digs per set, including a season-high 41 and two service aces in a four-set win over Arkansas-Monticello. In last night's win over Southern Arkansas, she had 21 digs.

A&M-Commerce is off to a 12-3 start to the 2009 campaign and will begin Lone Star Conference play on Thursday at 7 pm at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
