Alan Crute collected six Lone Star Conference championships (three doubles titles and three singles titles) in his time with the Lions. He was a First Team All-American in both 1967 and 1968. He won the 1967 doubles title with partner Eddie Jack Chappin and won back-to-back doubles titles in 1968 and '69 with partner Eddie Munson. Crute helped the Lions win the LSC Championship in all three of his seasons and was a three-time First Team All-LSC selection.
