Chadwick Brown was an All-American lineman for the Lions, playing from 1965-68. During his senior season, he helped block for fellow All-American running back Arthur James, helping him average 153.8 yards per game. During his senior season, Brown was named a First Team All-American by the Eastman Kodak Coaches’ College Division and an Honorable Mention All-American by the NAIA. Brown was named Second Team All-LSC during both his junior and senior seasons. He was a part of the 1966 LSC Championship team.

Brown was drafted in the seventh round of the 1969 NFL/AFL draft by the Pittsburg Steelers. He participated in training camps for the Houston Oilers and New Orleans Saints. After retiring from football, Brown became an NFL referee, officiating in a pair of Super Bowls.
