Hall of Honor
Gene Casselberry is the first person ever inducted into the Lions Hall of Honor. He is a local resident of Commerce and has shown meritorious service to Lion Athletics. Gene and his wife Betty have been long supporters of Lion Athletics.
Gene has served as an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the Commerce Lions Club. Gene graduated from then ETSU in 1965 in Agricultural Education and earned his masters degree in Education Administration the following year. He is a current member of the Commerce Area Alumni Chapter of A&M-Commerce and a member of A&M-Commerce Alumni Association. During his time at then ETSU, he served on the student government, and was the treasurer of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He has served on the school’s Foundation Board as the co-chair of the 1983 Commerce Community Fundraising campaign as one of numerous A&M-Commerce committees
