FRISCO – Following a historic performance on the road against a nationally ranked team, Texas A&M University-Commerce football quarterback
Ron Peace has been named the Southland Conference's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
Peace (Malakoff) threw for 457 yards and three touchdowns at UC Davis last Saturday, going 29 for 56. The 457 passing yards are fourth most in program history, second in the FCS this season, third in all levels of college football, and most for any quarterback in Week 2.
Additionally, the 29 completions are also 10
th most in program history. Peace is the first Lion quarterback to earn a conference player of the week award in the Division I era. The Lions had just one player of the week honoree a year ago.
