Fiscal Sustainability and Efficient Resource Management

Proactively promote fiscal responsibility.

Goals

 

Maintain ongoing fiscal responsibility and operate within annual budgets Provide monthly budget updates to all unit heads Establish quarterly budget meetings with head coaches and unit heads Communicate proactively with athletics director when any budget overages are identified   Project and forecast expenses and revenues to establish long term fiscal stability Analyze future travel expenses with formalized monitoring Annually project comprehensive pre and post season expenses for each sports program Communicate with external relations team monthly on revenue overage/shortfall plans Draft a prospective three-year budget plan which also includes capital needs and upgrades Utilize national benchmarking tools to assist in effective resource management   Identify cost-saving opportunities throughout Lion Athletics Benchmark spending and revenue habits with relevant peers and top tier Division II schools Facilitate annual resource management roundtable for coaches and administrators Maintain a preferred vendors guide to assist with team and administrative travel costs
