Texas A&M University-Commerce
lowered its team score by nine strokes in Tuesday's final
round of the Crawford-Wade Invitational at the Tanglewood Golf
Resort & Spa in Pottsboro.
Overshadowing the nine-stroke
improvement by the Lions was the 13-stroke improvement by East
Central that sparked the Tigers to the team title. With improved
conditions on Tuesday, including the presence of sunshine and
absence of rain, the entire field benefited.
A&M-Commerce freshman

continued his consistent play from Monday as he posted a 76 on
Tuesday for a 36-hole total of 154 (78-76) to share seventh-place
honors along with four others including teammate Eric Westerman. The senior from Victoria, Texas lowered his
score from Monday by a team-best six strokes for a total of 154
(80-74).

Pool, who shared second with four others with a 151 (77-74).

A&M-Commerce lineup was Dustin Gideon, who
posted a 157 (79-78). Rounding out the lineup was T.J. McColl, who shot his second-straight 81 for a 162 (81-81)
to share 35th-place honors.
Playing as an individual,

159 (79-80) and Darren Whitehouse finished 62nd
with a 177 (88-89).
The Lions as a team led the field
with 15 birdies as well as six-over par play on par 5 holes. Duffy
and Gideon each had four birdies to lead A&M-Commerce. In
addition, Duffy was one of the top players in the field with his
two-under play in par 5 scoring and six-over par on par 4
scoring.
The next tournament for
