Commerce, Texas – A&M-Commerce had five players score in double figures and all 10 players notch points in a 95-53 win over Central Christian College of the Bible in a nonconference game Saturday afternoon in the Lions first game in 2016.
Turning Point- Trailing 25-23,
Ronnie White made a jumper in the lane and
Isaac Asrat nailed a triple to spark the Lions on a 15-2 run to close out the final six minutes of the first half. The run gave the Lions a 38-27 lead at the half.
Highlights- The Lions had 11 blocks in the game highlighted by seven blocks from
Bryant Crowder.
- Crowder led the Lions with 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Crowder also hauled down a game-high 11 rebounds for a double-double

Craig Fofang and
Ronnie White each scored 14 point, while Fofang had a double-double with 10 rebounds.
- Asrat tallied 13 points, while
Everrett Pleasant had 11 points in the win.
- The Lions outrebounded the Saints 56-30 including a 19-9 advantage on the offensive glass. A&M-Commerce scored 20 second chance points compared to only seven for Central Christian.

Jeremy Jones handed out eight assists as the Lions had 22 assists on 40 made baskets.
Summary1st Half- The Saints hung close and held a four-point lead, 23-19, with 10:26 left in the first half. Four minutes later, the Lions mounted their 15-2 run to take a 38-27 lead into the half.
- The Lions shot 47 percent overall in the first half compared to 36 percent from the field for the Saints in the opening 20 minutes. Central Christian converted five of their 12 three-point field goal attempts in the half, while the Lions went 1-of-10 from long range.
2nd Half- The second half was all A&M-Commerce as the Lions clamped down defensively on the Saints en rout to the 95-35 win. Central Christian was limited to just 29 percent from the floor, while the Lions shot 68 percent overall in the final stanza.
Inside the box score- Crowder's seven blocks tied the Lions single-game school record.
- Crowder recorded 20 plus points for the third time in 2015.

Craig Fofang recorded his first career double-double.
- Jones' eight assists marked the sixth time this season the senior guard has gone over five assists in a game.
- The Lions had five players in double-digits for the fifth time this season.
What's Next?- The Lions open Lone Star Conference play Wednesday, January 2 at 7:30 p.m. in The Field House with the Javelinas from Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Javelinas enter the game at 8-3 overall. Texas A&M-Kingsville has not played a game in 2016.
