COMMERCE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce athletics department celebrated the graduation of its student-athletes this weekend, as 33 Lions received degrees at Fall Commencement ceremonies in the Field House on Friday and Saturday.

The 33 Student-Athletes, Student Athletic Trainers, and coaching staff members participated in graduation, with 31 earning bachelors' degrees and two earning their Masters degree. Five of these graduates earned honors with two graduating summa cum laude, two graduating magna cum laude, and one graduating cum laude.

For the first time, two separate graduate receptions were held, as the football team was in Kansas City for the National Championship Game. A reception for those in Commerce was held Friday, while the football graduates were honored with a ceremony in Kansas City on Saturday morning.
