COMMERCE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce athletics department celebrated the graduation of its student-athletes this weekend, as 43 Lions received degrees at Summer Commencement ceremonies in the Field House on Friday and Saturday.
43 Student-Athletes, Student Athletic Trainers, and coaching staff members are participating in graduation, with 36 earning bachelors' degrees and seven earning their Masters degree.
The Spring graduates were honored with a reception on Friday night following the graduate program's commencement ceremony. Ceremonies for bachelor's degrees were held Saturday. In an interesting twist, softball student-athletes in the NCAA Tournament had their degrees conferred on the field following Thursday's win over Tarleton State in the opening round.
