COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce football team's quarterback Eric Rodriguez has been selected as the Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week after leading A&M-Commerce to a win over nationally ranked Southeastern Louisiana.
 
Rodriguez (Fort Bend Travis) returned to the field after missing the previous two weeks and started right where he left off, tossing four touchdowns on Saturday. He went 26 for 38 passing with 374 passing yards against a Southeastern defense, that was allowing 241.4 passing yards per game coming into last week.
 
Having played just three games this season, Rodriguez has 11 passing touchdowns, which is 16^th in NCAA Division I FCS and second in the Southland Conference.
 
The Lions remain on the road this weekend, taking on McNeese at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
 
The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week will be awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
