COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce soccer team's Mindy Shoffit has been named this week's Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week, playing all but five minutes in two Lion shutouts last week.

Shoffit (Wichita Falls – Rider) played as a center back for the Lions, who did not allow a goal in wins over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Nicholls. The Lions did not allow a shot on goal against the Colonels on Sunday. The junior defender also scored the match-winning goal on Friday and added an assist on Sunday.

The Lions, who are in second place in the Southland Conference standings, host Southeastern Louisiana as part of Senior Day on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week will be awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
