East Texas A&M Athletics Internship Opportunities

Gain real-world experience in college athletics while building career-ready skills in marketing, communications, events, fan engagement, development, and revenue generation. Lion Athletics offers several opportunities for students looking to gain hands-on experience and explore a career in the sports industry.
 

Gameday Fan Engagement Team Member

Gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, promotions, fan engagement, and event operations while helping elevate the fan experience at Lion Athletics home events.
Duties include:
·       Assisting with in-game promotions, fan contests, and sponsorship activations
·       Supporting social media engagement and promotional campaigns
·       Helping execute grassroots marketing initiatives to increase campus and community engagement
·       Supporting game-day activities and fan engagement efforts
·       Assisting with special events and other athletics marketing initiatives

Athletics Communications Support

Gain hands-on experience in sports communications, digital media, content creation, and athletics information while supporting Lion Athletics communications initiatives.

Duties include:
· Updating athletics websites and digital platforms
· Supporting social media coverage and content creation
· Assisting with archival and historical records
· Creating digital game programs and other special projects
· Supporting athletics communications and game-day media initiatives

Athletics Annual Fund & Events Team Member

Gain experience in athletics development, donor engagement, event planning, and alumni relations while supporting Lion Athletics fundraising and development initiatives.

Duties include:
· Assisting with donor outreach, stewardship, and communications
· Supporting alumni, donor, and special events
· Helping develop the Athletics Development monthly newsletter
· Preparing event materials and supporting event logistics
· Supporting donor hospitality and guest engagement at home football games

Athletics External Revenue Intern

Gain experience in athletics revenue generation, corporate partnerships, ticketing, fundraising, and external relations while supporting the business operations of Lion Athletics.

Duties include:
· Assisting with corporate sponsorship and partnership initiatives
· Supporting ticketing and revenue-generating efforts
· Assisting with fundraising projects and external engagement initiatives
· Supporting game-day promotions and sponsorship activations
· Helping strengthen the Lion Athletics brand across campus and the community
· Gaining insight into the business and revenue operations of Division I athletics
