COMMERCE – The Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball team wrapped up its preseason on Friday night with a 103-30 exhibition win over Arlington Baptist at the Field House.
 
The Lions now look ahead to the season opener on Monday against UNT-Dallas in the Field House at 6 p.m., before being on the road for their next three games.

On Friday night, the Lions shot 50 percent from the field with Symmone James (McKinney – Boyd) leading the way with 14 points, while DesiRay Kernal (Newton, Kan.) had 11 points and nine rebounds. Dyani Robinson (Langham Creek), Asiyha Smith (Conway, Ark.), and Laila Lawrence (Clarksville) had 10 points each. Lawrence came off the bench and grabbed nine rebounds as well.
 
Every Lion that appeared in the game, scored at least two points. For the Patriots, Jakayla Bradford had 10 points and Haley Herrin had 11. Lions had the 65-28 edge in rebounding on Tuesday.
 
Following the game against UNT-Dallas on Monday, the Lions are at UT-Arlington (November 12), at Houston (November 15), and at SMU (November 18) before returning home to face New Mexico on November 26.
