ODESSA – Dyani Robinson surpassed the 1,000-career points mark on Saturday as the No. 1/4 Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball team finished off the regular season with a 92-59 win over the UT Permian Basin Falcons in the Falcon Dome.
A&M-Commerce finishes off the regular season with a record of 24-3 and a Lone Star Conference record of 12-3, which ties Texas Woman's for the second-best record in the conference. The Pioneers beat the Lions on Tuesday, thus own the tie-breaker and receive the No. 2 seed in the LSC Tournament.
The No. 3 seeded Lions take on the winner of the first round game between Eastern New Mexico and Cameron, in the quarterfinal round of the tournament in Frisco on Friday at noon. The game between the Greyhounds and the Aggies tips off at 6 p.m. in Lawton, Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Robinson (Langham Creek) needed 11 points in Saturday's game to reach 1,000 career points. She added a layup with 45 seconds left in the first half to total 12 in the first half. She is the 15
th player in program history to achieve that feat and joins teammate
Chania Wright (DeSoto), who reached the feat earlier this season.
Both Wright and Robinson had 20 points in the game. Wright shot 7 for 13 from the field, including a perfect 4 from 4 from distance, while Robinson shot 8 for 13 from the field. Robinson also totaled seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Wright had five rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
After a back-and-forth first quarter in which there were three lead changes and five ties, there were no lead changes in the second quarter and the Lions did not trail in the quarter. The largest lead for either team in the first half was nine points and it came for the Lions just before the end of the half.
The Lions outscored the Falcons, 30-19, in the third quarter. A layup from Robinson with 12 seconds left gave the Lions a 23-point lead, 66-43. The Lion lead increased to as much as 33 in the fourth quarter as they scored 26 of the 40 points in the quarter, shooting 60 percent from the field.
Every active player that made the trip to Odessa for the Lions, played in the game. Behind 40 combined points from Wright and Robinson,
Laila Lawrence (Lewisville) had 12 off the bench, recording six rebounds, an assist, and a block as well.
DesiRay Kernal (Newton, Kan.) added 10 points, five rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Juliana Louis (Long Beach, Calif.) grabbed team-leading 12 rebounds. She also added six points, an assist, and two blocks.
Mia Deck (Frisco – Lone Star) tallied nine points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
Symmone James (McKinney – Boyd) shot a perfect 5 for 5 from the field for 10 points, three rebounds, a steal, and a block.
Ashley Shipley (Tucumcari, N.M.) added a three pointer and the layup from
Olivia Russell (Auburn Hills, Mich.) gave the Lions their largest lead of the game.
Dorian Norris (Lake Dallas) recorded three assists and two rebounds, while
Jordyn Beaty (Woodville) tallied two rebounds and two assists.
The Lions shot above 50 percent in three of the four quarters. The Falcons were led by Alexus Wykoff's 17 points off the bench, they shot 37.3 percent in the game.
