COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce women's basketball center Juliana Louis has been selected as Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week after averaging a double-double in three games at the Lone Star Conference Tournament this weekend.
 
Louis (Long Beach, Calif.) averaged 10.7 points and 14.0 rebounds in the three games, shooting 55.6 percent from the field. The Lions once again advanced to the LSC Tournament Championship game and Louis was named to the All-LSC Tournament team.
 
She had 12 points and 14 rebounds against Cameron, 13 rebounds against UT Tyler, as well as a double-double against West Texas A&M in the championship game, totaling 12 points and 15 rebounds.
 
The Lions head to Canyon this weekend for the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament. A&M-Commerce takes on the Colorado School of Mines on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the regional quarterfinals.
 
The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week will be awarded by Lion Athletics each week through the remainder of the academic year.
