COMMERCE – After totaling two goals and an assist in the Texas A&M University-Commerce soccer team's first win in NCAA Division I and first Southland Conference win, Mya Mitchell has been tabbed the Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Mitchell (Dallas – Mesquite Horn) had an assist on the first goal of the win over Houston Baptist last Friday, the Lions' first goal at home this season. She added two goals to secure the Lions' first win as a Division I program, and they are 1-0 in conference play.
 
Southland Conference play rolls on for the Lions this weekend as they head to McNeese on Friday at 7 p.m. and at Lamar on Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week will be awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
