COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball team guard Tommie Lewis has been picked as the Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week.  
 
Lewis (Vero Beach, Fla.) averaged 12.8 points per game over the last four games, starting two of them. He scored 19 points at Texas, shooting 6 for 6 from the field, while scoring 12 at Purdue Fort Wayne and 15 in the overtime conference-opening win against UIW.
 
Against UIW, he also had nine rebounds and averaged 6.0 rebounds over the four games.
 
The Lions are at home on Thursday at 8 p.m. against Nicholls, before heading back on the road at McNeese on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.  
 
The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
