COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's cross country team's Alex Speer has been selected as this week's Under Armour Student-Athlete.
 
Speer (Robinson) was the top finisher for the Lions at the Bradley Pink Classic last Friday. A&M-Commerce finished as a runner-up in the team standings, while Speer clocked in at 25:44.10 to finish 10^th overall in the white race. He has been the top finisher for the Lions in all four regular season races.
 
The Lions are off this week, but conclude their season at the Southland Conference Championships on October 27 in San Antonio at the Windcrest Golf Club.  
 
The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
