COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce softball coach Brittany Miller has signed Navarro College transfer Kate Houser to the 2024 signing class.
 
Houser, who is from Lorena, played for Navarro College for one season as a pitcher. She will be eligible to play for the Lions during the 2025 season.
 
She was the 2021 District 17-3A Pitcher of the Year and played for the Texas Glory club. She is a right-handed pitcher. She was also named the District 17-3A Most Valuable Player during the 2022 season as well as first team all-state. Houser has also earned first team all-CenTex honors during her career.
 
Miller said, "we are excited to have Kate join our pitching staff. Her demeanor and work ethic will complement well with the pitchers that we have."
 
Houser is joined by incoming freshmen Victoria Masters and Aaliyah Wilcox in the newcomer class for the 2025 season.
