Edwin named Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week

COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's track and field student-athlete Delan Edwin has been selected as this week's Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week after breaking his own school record over the weekend at the East Texas Invitational.

Edwin (Castries, Saint Lucia) timed 20.14 seconds to win the 200 meter dash, which is also the new facility record at Memorial Stadium, breaking his own record that he set last season. He also clocked in at 10.06 seconds in the 100 meter dash and was part of the 4x100 meter winning relay team with a time of 39.72 seconds.

The Lions head to Waco this weekend to participate in the Michael Johnson Invitational on Friday and Saturday, hosted by Baylor.

The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
