COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce men's track and field student-athlete Trayveon Franklin has been named as this week's Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Franklin (Montgomery) jumped 49 feet 2.5 inches (15.0m), which was a season best performance to win the triple jump event at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Texas State. Franklin is second in the Southland Conference rankings.
 
The Lions host their meet of the season, the East Texas Invitational, on April 14-15.
 
The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
