Ezukanma tabbed Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week

COMMERCE – Texas A&M University-Commerce women's track and field student-athlete Amaka Ezukanma has been selected as the Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week.

Ezukanma (Fort Worth – Timber Creek) set two personal bests last week. She jumped 41 feet 5.25 inches (12.63m) to win the triple jump at the East Texas Quad, which is also first in the Southland Conference and 11th in the region. She recorded a personal best mark of 18 feet 10.5 inches (5.75m) in the long jump, which is 11th in the conference.

The Lions serve as hosts of the Southland Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week at Memorial Stadium on May 4-6.

The Under Armour Student-Athlete of the Week is awarded by Lion Athletics each week during the academic year.
