COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University men's golfer Janis Erll and soccer goalkeeper Gillian McKenzie are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week. 
 
Erll (Lich, Germany) tied for first place at the LaTour Intercollegiate, falling short in the playoff, but guided the Lions to their first team title in the Division I era. He tied the course record with a 62 in the second round and also set the program record for lowest score in a round (62). 
 
McKenzie (Mesquite Horn) recorded six saves in a complete-match shutout in the Lions' 1-0 win over UTRGV last Thursday which keeps East Texas A&M's hopes alive for winning a share of a SLC title. She recorded her fourth complete-match shutout of conference play, which is fourth in the SLC and her goals against average is third.  

The Lion soccer team hosts HCU on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. as they look to win their first SLC title and clinch a top-two seed in the conference tournament next week.
