Reza Po are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week.
Hunt (Lakewood, Calif.) averaged 16 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Lions, which included a home win over Central Arkansas and a loss at No. 5/5 UConn. He scored 21 points along with five rebounds and seven assists in the win over UCA and added 11 points, seven assists, and three assists at UConn. The Lion men take on McNeese on Friday at 7:30 p.m. to begin Southland Conference play and then head to Southeastern on Monday at 6 p.m.
Po (San Bruno, Calif.) also guided the Lion women to a 1-1 week with a road win over Louisiana. She averaged 13.5 points last week, scoring 20 points in the win at the Ragin' Cajuns as well as three rebounds and three assists, and then added seven points and three losses in the loss to Abilene Christian. The Lion women also play at the Cowgirls on Friday at 5 p.m. and then host Texas Southern on Monday at 10:30 a.m. for Education Day, presented by Signature Solar.
