LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Fourteen members of the East Texas A&M University softball team have earned All-America Scholar Athlete recognition from Easton and the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
The 14 All-America Scholar Athletes are the most for the program since 2021 and the Lions have now earned 111 All-America Scholar Athlete awards in program history. To be eligible for the Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award, student-athletes must hold a grade point average above a 3.50.
The program currently holds a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and recorded a term GPA of 3.64 during the Spring 2025 semester. The Lions are also in consideration for being recognized among the Top 10 academic teams in Division I. The list will be released later this summer.
On the diamond in 2025, the Lions advanced to the Southland Conference Tournament for the first time since joining the Southland Conference, while setting the Division I era records for most overall wins in a season and most conference wins in a season.
