COMMERCE - Winter Storm Fern has impacted the East Texas A&M University athletic deparment's schedule for this weekend with road trips scheduled for both basketball teams as well as track and field.  

The women's game at Northwestern State has been postponed, the make-up date has not yet been set. The decision was made in part because of potential travel issues for East Texas A&M returning home after a Saturday game. The Lion women's game at Lamar on Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. remains as scheduled. 

A decision on the men's basketball game at Northwestern State on Saturday will be announced on Friday following further guidance from both the local authorities in Commerce and Natchitoches. 

The track and field team will not travel to College Station for the Ted Nelson Invitational. The Lions are next in action in February.
