HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The East Texas A&M University women's golf team finished 18^th at the Diamante Invitational, totaling 908 over three rounds at Diamante Country Club this week.

Tais Moreno (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) led East Texas A&M individually, tying for 53^rd at 222 after closing with a 74 in the final round. ET posted rounds of 303, 303 and 302 in the three-day tournament.

"The team struggled this week on the greens mostly, and that's on me for not helping them prepare better for it. We had some unfortunate breaks, but we didn't capitalize on a lot of the opportunities we had to put us up around the top. We'll all learn from this and be better prepared for the next event," said coach Michael Shedd.

Marie Baertz (Luxembourg) tied for 60^th at 223, Becky Baberg (Asendorf, Germany) tied for 87^th at 231, Gimena Errecart (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) tied for 95^th at 233, and Hannah Antunes (Waco – China Spring) tied for 108^th at 240.

Sam Houston was the champion, taking the title over Cal Baptist by eight strokes. The Bearkats' Pureun Kim and Little Rock's Eleonore Aernouts tied for the individual medal with a score of 208 each.
