COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University softball outfielder KK Cosek and men's track and field student-athlete Joseph Rolland are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week. 

Cosek (Helendale, Calif.) batted .571 in three games last week with one RBI and scoring two runs, while also drawing two walks. In the outfield, she had a perfect fielding percentage with five putouts. The Lion softball team plays at UIW on Tuesday and Wednesday before returning home to host HCU for Spring Fest weekend on Friday-Saturday.  

Rolland (Wills Point) jumped a season-best 47-3 (14.40m) for 13th in the triple jumple at the 44 Farms Team Invitational, which is now also fifth in the Southland Conference. The Lion track and field teams are back in action at J. Fred Duckett Twilight on April 25.
