COMMERCE – East Texas A&M University track and field student-athletes Calen Jones and Kira van den Ham are this week's Dixie Turman State Farm Agency Student-Athletes of the Week. 

Jones (Duncanville) won the men's high jump Southland Conference title on Saturday by clearing 7-0.25 (2.14m), becoming the first Lion conference champion in outdoor champion since joining the conference and also rose to top 15 in the West region. 

van den Ham (Bunnik, The Netherlands) won her second silver medal of the year as she took second in the women's pole vault at the conference championships. She cleared 12-8.25 (3.87m), which was tied for best at the meet, but placed second based on the tiebreaker. She also won silver during the indoor conference championships.  

The NCAA will release qualifiers for the NCAA Regional Championships later this week.
